Your Report
During this activity you identified your problem, high level goal and the specific behaviour you are trying to change. You can see these below.
Problem:
According to the UN’s Food and Agricultural Organization, about 14% of all emissions come from meat and dairy production and meat production alone accounts for 57 percent of the greenhouse gas emissions of the entire food production industry. It also results in widespread deforestation and loss of biodiversity, and each of these means that it significantly contributes to climate change. Among the types of meat, beef is by far the most carbon intensive, as cattle and cows emit a lot of methane.
High Level Goal:
Reduce carbon emissions by consuming less meat in general and less beef in particular.
Behaviour to change:
Consumers' awareness of the carbon footprint of meat and especially the fact that beef in contrast to pork/lamb/chicken/fish is more carbon intensive and damaging to the planet.
Below are each of the barrier cards you selected as part of this activity.
