the issue of waste disposal in health care facilities can be due to insufficient training and education of healthcare workers who are responsible for waste disposal
High Level Goal:
Develop a culture of safety and accountability around waste disposal practices, where healthcare workers are empowered to take ownership of their role
Behaviour to change:
Healthcare workers should be able to segregate waste into different categories based on its level of risk (e.g. infectious waste, general waste, hazardous waste).
