The risks to HSBC bank posed by transitioning to lower net emissions in agriculture are gaining momentum, there is a need to understand scope 3 emissions from our lending to agriculture and demonstrate we are being proactive in supporting clients transition to net zero
High Level Goal:
Be the leading brand for providing sustainable finance to agriculture
Behaviour to change:
Progressive farmers will seek out HSBC Agriculture as the leader in the market place for sustainable farm finance, and engage with our agricultural relationship managers for their specialist farm sustainability knowledge and support, rather than seeking support from other banks who offer one off ‘carbon’ incentives
